Brenda Bray
Brenda Shannon Bray is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she graduated with top honors, and earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law. Following law school, she served as a judicial law clerk for Judge Mary Staley in Cobb County, gaining invaluable experience in the judicial system and the practical application of the law.
Ms. Bray began her legal career with Long, Weinberg, Ansley & Wheeler, where she focused on the defense of medical malpractice claims. She later joined Johnson, Beckham & Price, concentrating her practice on arson and fire casualty litigation.
Throughout her distinguished career, Ms. Bray has served as Guardian ad Litem for Carroll County, advocating for the best interests of children and families involved in the court system. She also taught Business Law at West Georgia College, helping prepare the next generation of business professionals with a strong foundation in legal principles.
In addition to her litigation and public service experience, Ms. Bray has held executive leadership positions as Human Resources Director and in-house counsel for Off Broadway Shoes and later for MARR Recovery Residence. In these roles, she combined legal expertise with executive leadership, overseeing employment law, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and human resources.
Today, Brenda Shannon Bray maintains a private law practice devoted primarily to family law and criminal defense. Drawing on decades of experience in litigation, judicial service, corporate leadership, higher education, and advocacy, she is committed to providing knowledgeable, practical, and compassionate legal representation. Her broad legal background enables her to guide clients through complex legal matters with professionalism, integrity, and a steadfast commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes.
Shannon Binkley
Shannon is Brenda’s Legal Aide and daughter. Together, they have completed 10+ second-parent adoptions. Shannon prepares and files documents, managing the administrative duties for Brenda’s Practice. As the non- biological mother of two, she herself has had to adopt her children. This is how she and Brenda learned to do adoptions while offering an affordable option.
